Lateralize Records are immensely proud to announce the release of award-winning singer / songwriter Jo Harrop’s stunning new single, She Carries On, on 2nd February 2024.
The first fruits of an exciting collaboration with Grammy-nominated LA-based producer and songwriter, Chris Seefried (Who produced Lady Blackbird’s brilliant Black Acid Soul album and has worked with everyone from Lana Del Rey through to Nitin Sawhney), She Carries On is a soulful, string-laden anthem about maintaining your inner strength amidst life’s trials and tribulations.
Written by Jo Harrop, Paul Edis and Chris Seefried, She Carries On was cut in Los Angeles at the iconic Sunset Sound Recorders at the tail end of last year and sees Harrop once again changing direction as she dives into uncharted musical waters.
Jo Harrop and Seefried have just cut a new studio album in LA which will be released early 2025.

Born in County Durham, Harrop moved to London and quickly established herself as one of the most unmistakable voices in modern music. Having signed to London-based jazz label, Lateralize Records, she recorded Weathering The Storm before bursting into the spotlight with a pair of critically acclaimed, award-winning albums, The Heart Wants and When Winter Turns To Spring, which was her first collaboration with pianist, Paul Edis.
In September 2023, she went into The Village Studios in Los Angeles to record her hugely-anticipated sophomore album, The Path Of A Tear, with legendary producer, Larry Klein, best-known for his award-winning work with a host of legendary artists including Joni Mitchell, Madeleine Peyroux and Herbie Hancock which will be released mid-2024.
